News from Roughburn

Preperations are under way for the arrival of the new luxuary mobile home which should be available from the end of July - slight delay in manufacture.

The Chickens are still providing us with lots of eggs omelettes are becomming a speciality - we now have a new brood of six new chicks!!.

The wild ducks are back again this year raiding the chicken feed and the bird houses along with some pheasants this year! the small birds still seem to be multiplying at a fantastic rate although we now get regulay visits from a sparrowhawk, several geese have also taken up residence near the pig's.

The foxes appear to be staying away at the moment but the pine marten has been about. The resident weasle though shy has been seen a lot more this year and seems to be less bothered by us or the dog, the Roe deer are moving away again now the grass further up "the hill" is getting better.

They are not out and about yet but we have some new chicks again this year, we have however had to thin out the cockrel population to prevent fighting.
